I was there. That first day. I was six hours early, waiting in line for the iphone. I felt silly the next morning when you could just walk into any at&t store or apple store and buy one without waiting in line. It was so worth it.
People ask me if I have had problems with the iPhone. No, I never returned it. I let the bugs be fixed by software updates that were painless.
People asked me if the internet was slow. Yes, if I'm in the car it can be slow, but only if I'm trying to load a large page. I'm usually in a wi-fi area and the internet is no problem.
People ask me if I'm upset about the price decrease. No, I think my time with the iPhone prior to September 5 was well worth the extra 200 dollars. The 100 dollar store credit is going to be nice too. I think I'll just get a 100 dollar iTunes gift card.
People ask me why I didn't wait for iPhone 2.0 or iPhone nano. This is my LEAST favorite question.
iPhone 2.0 will not happen for quite some time. No there will not be a new one in December. There I said it, online so that anyone can access my words when the time comes. The iPhone is essentially an empty piece of hardware. Software/Firmware updates give the iPhone things that other phones, mp3 players, and pda's lack. iPhone 2.0 might be a completely free software update from Apple that happens during syncing. People who say "I don't buy first generation products" do NOT know what they are talking about. This is THE generation product. It is completely malliable and supports great updates!
What if Apple inc. does release another iphone? A newer better hardware model. Well then I will upgrade. But until then... I'm sick of stupid questions. Yes my first bill came in a box. Yes at&t coverage does suck in some places. Yes there is no 3g internet and I honestly don't care.
A couple of days ago my girlfriend Katie bought her own iPhone after watching me with mine for so long. She is so funny. It is amazing to see her go throught the same things that I went through when I first got mine. In days she was typing so well! You really do get used to it. She talked one of her coworkers into buying one as well after the great pricedrop. The fever seems to be spreading well.
I decided to get a case for my iPhone that would allow me to put it in my pocket instead of wearing it on my hip. I am not out to say "look at me I have an iPhone".
anyway, just don't ask me anymore questions please.
